My Approach to Counseling

My counseling approach is centered on helping you live a life that reflects what matters most to you. Whether your values include faith, family, service, growth, stability, or meaningful relationships, we’ll work together to identify what truly drives you and build practical steps toward living it out. This isn’t about forcing happiness or getting rid of uncomfortable feelings. It’s about moving toward a rich, meaningful life even when stress, fear, or doubt show up.

I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood. From there, we work as a team to make each session purposeful. We’ll process what you’re going through, but we’ll also get concrete about actions that support your goals. The aim is for you to leave each session with something useful—whether it’s a new insight, a practical strategy, or clearer direction.

My work focuses on helping you change your relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions, rather than fighting them. When worries or self-criticism show up, we won’t try to suppress them or argue with them. Instead, we’ll learn how to make room for these experiences without letting them take over. This creates space for greater freedom, intention, and choice.

Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and firmly rooted in your values. If you’re ready to move toward a fuller life of purpose and authenticity, I’d be honored to walk with you on that path.
